Lauren Simpson is a dedicated educator and coach with a strong academic and professional background in teaching, counseling, and student development. She earned a Master of Arts in Teaching with a perfect 4.0 GPA, graduating summa cum laude. She also holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Sociology, each earned cum laude with a 3.6 GPA. This combination of advanced education and interdisciplinary study provides her with a deep understanding of how people learn, think, and grow.
Lauren’s career reflects a consistent commitment to empowering others. She has extensive experience as a career coach and executive functioning coach, helping students and adults develop skills in organization, time management, and goal setting. In addition, she is a Registered Behavior Technician and has served as a domestic violence advocate, suicide prevention counselor, and crisis counselor. These roles have equipped her with exceptional empathy, strong communication skills, and the ability to guide learners through challenges with calm and understanding.
Her tutoring experience spans kindergarten through college and covers a wide range of subjects including early literacy, mathematics, writing, research, and executive functioning strategies. Lauren is known for her engaging and creative approach that identifies student strengths, pinpoints areas for growth, and designs clear, motivating plans for success. Lauren finds daily inspiration in her two young sons, Knox and Beau, whose curiosity reminds her how meaningful learning can be. She is also influenced by educators and mental health advocates who promote growth, resilience, and a love of lifelong learning.
Outside of her professional work, Lauren enjoys creating clay art, sculptures, and jewelry. She also loves reading psychological thrillers, experimenting with healthy family recipes, and exploring nature with her family.
