About Our Founder
Before she became a leading executive function and life coach for teens and professionals in Los Angeles and New York, Candice Lapin built a thriving career as an entrepreneur in fashion and technology. Her eponymous fashion line appeared in German Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, InStyle, and Us Weekly, and she went on to launch a successful startup—becoming the first woman invited into a Silicon Beach accelerator.
But amid the accolades and achievements, something felt missing. Candice realized that her drive to build and create was fueled by an even deeper calling — to help others build the skills and confidence that make success sustainable.
After experiencing burnout, she began mentoring teens and young adults. What started as a side project quickly became a revelation. Working with students who struggled with focus, motivation, and learning differences, Candice saw a pattern emerge — these bright kids weren’t lacking intelligence or effort, they were lacking structure, systems, and self-belief.
She discovered that with the right scaffolding — practical strategies, consistent routines, and emotional support — transformation could happen fast. Students who once felt lost began to thrive; parents who once felt helpless began to hope again.
From that discovery, The Ladder Method was born — a holistic, evidence-informed approach that teaches students not just what to learn, but how to learn. Today, Candice leads a team of over 50 instructors who use her proprietary framework to empower thousands of children, teens, and adults across the country.
Through her coaching, workshops, and book Parenting in the Perfection Age: A Modern Guide to Nurturing a Success Mindset, Candice helps families reframe old patterns, replace chaos with consistency, and create environments where kids can build resilience, confidence, and executive functioning skills that last a lifetime.
Because for Candice, the “why” has never been clearer: when kids learn how to learn — they gain the tools to believe in themselves.
