Dylan Crump is a math tutor with The Ladder Method. He graduated from UC Berkeley with a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics and a minor in Theater and has been tutoring for over three years. During that time, he has worked with students across the country in a variety of roles, including as a private instructor, classroom assistant, and online tutor.

In his approach to tutoring, Dylan emphasizes understanding each step of a problem rather than focusing solely on the final answer. He believes that true growth in math comes from grasping the logic and process behind each solution. By helping students build this kind of foundational understanding, he aims to strengthen not only their performance on assignments and exams but also their long-term confidence in problem-solving.

Outside of math, Dylan has a deep passion for theater and acting. He was active in theater throughout high school and college, performing in plays, musicals, and short films. His background in acting has enhanced his tutoring practice, helping him engage students, communicate effectively, and bring energy and creativity into every session.

Math has always been Dylan’s favorite subject, and he takes great joy in helping others understand and appreciate it. His goal is to support students academically while fostering confidence and excitement for learning.
