Jamie K.
Jamie holds an M.S. in Counseling from the University of Oregon and a background in criminology, psychology, and classics. Her training in systems theory and trauma-informed care shapes her warm, flexible, and student-centered teaching style.
She has worked in public schools, private tutoring, small-group instruction, and curriculum development, supporting students of all ages and learning profiles. Jamie is especially passionate about early literacy, essay writing, and building students’ confidence in their own voice. She also brings strong experience in executive function coaching and supporting learners with ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning differences.
Outside of teaching, Jamie is a music enthusiast, amateur drummer, and devoted reader of celebrity memoirs. She proudly knows every word of The First Wives Club—musical numbers included.
