David P

David studied Computer Science and Data Science at Macalester College. He then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Data Science at UC Berkeley, earning a 4.0 GPA while working full-time. Through this experience, he learned to manage competing priorities while maintaining a sense of balance.

David understands that learning is not just about grasping complex theories, but also about navigating personal and external challenges that can impact a student’s ability to focus and thrive. His empathetic style encourages students to overcome obstacles both inside and outside the classroom, ensuring that they not only learn the subject matter but also develop the confidence and critical thinking skills needed for success. He brings experience working as a teaching assistant in academia and as an independent tutor.

Outside of work, David is passionate about health and maintaining a well-rounded lifestyle. When he isn’t working on data-related projects or mentoring students, he can be found learning jiu jitsu, exploring hiking trails, traveling, or learning Greek.

David is a San Francisco native and a lifelong athlete. He is inspired by the people who made a significant difference in his upbringing: mostly teachers who took an interest in him and coaches who nurtured his passion for basketball. These individuals played a key role in his growth and development. His goal is to play that role for others, empowering students to reach their full potential, both academically and personally.
