Malaya W.
Malaya is a graduate of Columbia University, where she earned a B.A. in Astrophysics. Throughout her time at Columbia, she was consistently named to the Dean’s List and was recognized as both a Ron Brown Scholar and a Gates Scholar. She was also nominated by Columbia for the prestigious Rhodes Scholarship and advanced to the semi-finalist stage.
Malaya brings several years of experience tutoring high school students across a range of subjects. Her favorite subjects to tutor high school students would be stem. She has a strong track record of helping students build confidence and master challenging material, with a special focus on making complex STEM concepts accessible and engaging.
Beyond academics, Malaya is passionate about writing music and watching films. She draws inspiration from the philosopher Simone Weil and brings a thoughtful, empathetic approach to all of her work with students.
