Lydia B.
Lydia is an experienced and passionate educator with over five years of teaching and tutoring experience in the U.S. and abroad. Originally from Albany, New York, she earned her B.A. in Mathematics from Hamilton College before returning to her hometown to teach middle school math and science.
Lydia later joined the Peace Corps in Costa Rica, where she taught science and English to elementary-aged students. This experience broadened her perspective as an educator and strengthened her ability to connect with students from a variety of backgrounds and learning styles. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Computer Engineering at NYU.
Lydia takes an encouraging, student-centered approach to tutoring. She works with students to set meaningful goals, break down challenging concepts, and build the confidence to work more independently. Her goal is to foster a growth mindset while helping students develop the skills and problem-solving strategies they need for long-term academic success.
