Cait K.
Cait earned her B.A. in Anthropology and Biology, as well as her M.S. in Biology from Smith College, where she researched the human X chromosome. She went on to receive her Ph.D. in Biology from Vanderbilt University, specializing in mitochondrial genetics. While her academic work focuses on heritability, Cait strongly believes in the power of a growth mindset and the role of effort in developing skills and achieving success.
Cait is currently pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling as she works toward becoming a licensed clinician, and she is also in the process of earning her ICF ACC coaching credential.
In addition to her academic background, Cait has published peer-reviewed research on education and has supported evidence-based teaching and learning at a range of institutions, including an Ivy League university, a “Southern Ivy,” and a “Little Ivy.” She has worked with learners of all ages, from students to faculty, helping them build the skills and systems needed to perform at their highest level.
Cait brings a thoughtful, structured, and growth-oriented approach to her work. She is passionate about helping students develop confidence, independence, and sustainable habits that support long-term success.
Outside of her professional work, Cait enjoys knitting and gardening—activities she appreciates for their connection to learning, problem-solving, and creativity. She also loves a good locked-room mystery and stories rooted in magic.
