Our Story

Hello,Thank you for scheduling your consultation with The Ladder Method! We're so excited to meet with you and learn more about your goals.Taking this first step is often the hardest part. For years, many families were told that meaningful change could take 4–6 years. While developing lasting executive functioning skills is a gradual process, most families begin noticing meaningful progress within the first 8–10 weeks as new strategies, routines, and habits start to take hold.Every consultation is personalized, giving us the chance to understand your unique situation and recommend the approach that best fits your needs. Before we meet, we invite you to explore a few resources that will help you get the most out of your consultation. Information about our adult program is included at the end of this email.

How We Find the Right Coach

One of the biggest reasons clients experience meaningful progress is the relationship they build with their coach. Rather than scheduling interviews with multiple coaches, our team carefully considers learning style, personality, goals, age, scheduling, and individual preferences before making a recommendation — a thoughtful process that helps us pair each client with someone who's genuinely the right fit.Because finding the right match matters, we ask families and adult clients to give the coaching relationship at least three weeks before considering a change. This gives enough time for trust to build and for real progress to begin.

For Families & Students

A Quick Consultation Tip

We recommend that parents of children under 18 attend the consultation without their student whenever possible. This gives you the chance to openly discuss your concerns, ask questions, and collaborate with our team on the best plan before introducing your child to the coaching process.

Frequently Asked Questions

My child isn't excited about coaching. Will it still work? This is one of the most common concerns we hear. Our coaches are skilled at building trust and genuine connections with students. Many kids begin coaching feeling hesitant but quickly grow more engaged as they experience success and build confidence. Whenever possible, we also involve students in choosing their coach to encourage greater investment in the process.Do you offer in-person coaching?Yes — we offer both virtual and in-person coaching. Our virtual sessions are interactive and collaborative, using digital planning tools, screen sharing, and real-time coaching strategies. In-person coaching is available in select locations, including Los Angeles, Dallas, and New York.Is there a waitlist? Some coaches and after-school time slots are in especially high demand. If a waitlist applies to your situation, we'll walk you through the process and keep you updated. Responding promptly to emails and calls is the best way to secure an opening when one becomes available.
