Remediation

For many students a less formal remediation means “teaching” (or reteaching) any content that your student failed to learn either through illness or due to learning differences.

Unlike with tutoring, remediation means re-teaching large chunks of a course or closing large gaps in understanding.

This is an important first step before moving on to close gaps in executive functioning or organization or acceleration.
